Exponent practice worksheet where the powers are greater than 2 and some of the base numbers are negative. I like to use this to get students to understand that difference between having a negative base in parenthesis and a negative base without parenthesis.
This is a study guide that I developed to cover some of the topics on the first test that I deliver. The topics are as follows: Adding Subtracting Multiplying and Dividing Integers (Negative Numbers) Exponents Square Roots Prime Factorization Absolute Value Rational Numbers (Identify and Plot on a number line) Each skill includes some notes / hints followed by some practice problems for the students. An answer key is provided!
