Use this is a Google slide activity with various reading comprehension strategies to engage the reader through each section of this book. RACES (Credit to Stress Free Teaching for the graphic) is the writing strategy used, but you should be able to edit it to fit your needs. Students are asked to reflect, use text features, comprehension skills, inferencing, as well as add their own pictures and text features to make it their own. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done.

This is a study guide geared toward fifth grade students in Indiana and the ISTEP+ exam. The questions are from unit 7 in the Indiana "TimeLinks" series by Macmillan McGraw-Hill. Unit 7 information covers 20-30% of the ISTEP+ exam based on the blueprint given online. Most of the questions are written as ISTEP+ questions would be written giving the students experience with ISTEP+ vocabulary.
