Chasing Ideas

This activity shows the difference between weather and climate, including examples for students to use for comparison. I usually lecture, or show a quick video before beginning. It takes about 15-20 minutes depending on additional videos/lectures. This can be done as a class or independently. For the last question, you can use this with my (free) climate zones worksheet, the internet, or edit it out. I didn't post an answer key, but can if someone needs it.

This project is about bringing awareness to environmental issues. Sections include choosing a topic, finding a law/organization related to the issue, and writing a letter in support/opposition of the issue. **There is a sample calendar at the bottom of the page, which you can alter or delete, depending on your needs.

At the beginning of the semester, I had students choose a Ted Talk for the class to watch (I would show one or two per week depending on how many students were in each class).
