About the store

Experience

I’m a Texas-based, certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a passion for helping little voices grow. With hands-on experience in pediatric home health, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children and their families to support speech, language, and communication development in real-life settings. My time in home health has taught me the importance of creating fun, engaging, and functional materials that kids love and therapists can rely on.

Teaching style

My teaching style is interactive, fun, and focused on visual learning. I believe that children learn best when they’re actively engaged and can see concepts come to life. I create materials that encourage hands-on participation, spark curiosity, and make complex speech and language goals easier to understand through visuals. My goal is to make every session feel like play while ensuring meaningful progress.

My own education history

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology from the University of North Texas in 2017 and went on to complete my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Abilene Christian University in 2020. My educational journey laid the foundation for my passion for pediatric speech therapy and inspired me to create meaningful resources for other therapists.

Additional biographical information

I was born and raised in Texas and have been living in the DFW area since 2013. I’ve been working in pediatric home health since 2020, with past experiences working as an ST Team Lead, supervising assistants, and mentoring both student clinicians and clinical fellows. I’m also a bit of a craft enthusiast, which inspired the name “Chatterbox Crafts”! I love blending creativity with my passion for speech therapy, and I’m so excited to share my work with you. I hope you find something here that makes your therapy sessions a little brighter and a lot more fun!
