I have 9 years of teaching experience. I spent one amazing year in fourth grade grade, before moving on to teach second grade for 5 years! I had the opportunity to create and implement curriculum for my school's kindergarten readiness program, which I co-lead for 3 summers. I have been teaching third grade for the last 3 years, and I am loving every minute of it!

My teaching style is always evolving. I feel like it changes each and every year. Overall, I try to create an organized and well-managed classroom, so that my students are sure to learn, but also get to have fun at the same time. I try to create a learning environment where students feel safe and free to be themselves, and one in which students are able to work independently and cooperatively. I learn more about teaching and my own teaching style with each year that passes. Hopefully, I will have it mastered by the time I retire!

I received my B.A. in Liberal Studies and my Multiple Subject Teach Credential through California State University, East Bay, as well as a certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder through University of California- Davis.

I live with my husband and wonderful son in Southern California.
