I created this sheet this year to help me keep track of my students' grades better. It can also be used as a simple assignment or school supply checklist. You can use this sheet in so many ways! My students use Lexia Core5 every week and I needed something I could keep in their computer lab folders all year that would allow me to both save paper and time. I usually assign this for homework on Thursday nights to prepare for Friday's spelling test. I leave the sentence requirements open ended to allow those who are struggling to write simple sentences and those who are ready for a challenge to write more complex sentences. I created this versatile template to use as one of my literacy centers. You can use this template for sight words of the week, spelling words, vocabulary words, and so forth. This goes along with the TAG peer feedback model (which I did not create). I'm going to use it to help my first graders practice giving feedback to their classmates during our Animal Project gallery walk. This is the spelling test that I give on Fridays. There are two on each page to save paper. Included in this file are the 10 and 12 word versions of the spelling test, and as of 09/12/2013, a 2-sentence version of the 10-word spelling test.
