Number Bond Flashcards
Easily teach multiplication and division at the same time by having students find the missing numbers on the number bonds.
Example: 9, 36, and a ?.
The 9 and the ? are parts and the 36 is the whole.
9 times ? = 36
? times 9 = 36
36 divided by 9 = ?
36 divided by ? = 9
THREE numbers (9, 4, and 36). That's all you need to teach the multiplication and division number sentences above.

This lesson models how to increase test scores by teaching students to pick out key words from a prompt, create a graphic organizer, and stretch the graphic organizer into a strong opening paragraph by adding a "grabber" and adjectives. (It doesn't model finishing it, but it could easily be finished by students or by you when modeling writing.) This whole-group/small-group reading framework is easier to plan, implement, and manage than many others. You'll want to do Writer's Workshop and Word Work at a different time. Teaching is all about monitoring growth and adjusting instruction to meet the needs of your students. This framework does just that!

I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Missouri State University with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Texas-Wesleyan University, and a second Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.
