Writing Prompt - Pretend You Own a Pet Store
This lesson models how to increase test scores by teaching students to pick out key words from a prompt, create a graphic organizer, and stretch the graphic organizer into a strong opening paragraph by adding a "grabber" and adjectives. (It doesn't model finishing it, but it could easily be finished by students or by you when modeling writing.) Teaching style
I integrate differentiated instruction, brain-based learning, inquiry-based learning, Math with Meaning, and Four-Blocks (Guided Reading, Writer's Workshop, Self-Selected Reading, Working with Words) into my lessons.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Missouri State University with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Texas-Wesleyan University, and a second Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University.
