Welcome! My name is Katherine Rackliff and I am a Speech-language pathologist and Outdoor Therapist who specializes in early intervention, language development, articulation, and literacy foundations. Through my private practice, Chickadee Chatter Speech Therapy, I’ve helped hundreds of families build confident communication skills — both indoors and out in nature.

My approach is playful, strengths-based, and deeply rooted in nature. I believe in meeting each child where they are, honoring their unique communication style, and helping them grow through real-world, meaningful experiences. Whether we’re exploring a trail, reading under the trees, or playing a game at the clinic, my goal is to spark joy and curiosity alongside communication.

Those are the milestones that matter most. 🏆 Awarded the ACE (Award for Continuing Education) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for completing over 70 hours of advanced professional training within three years — demonstrating a strong commitment to lifelong learning and the latest evidence-based practices.

I live in beautiful southern Maine with my family, our dog Bear, and a love for all things outdoors. When I’m not in a speech session, you’ll find me kayaking, reading on the porch, or exploring new trails. I created Chickadee Chatter Speech Therapy and my educational resources to give families tools that build communication and connection — because learning happens best when we’re supported, celebrated, and surrounded by nature.
