Ozobot Dance Party - Introduction to Coding and Robotics

In this introductory project, kids will code an Ozobot to attend a dance party. They will learn the basics of coding and how to load and run their code on a robot. Time is spent in the beginning of the project to talk a little about the current state of robotics, what the difference is between Science Fiction and Real-Life robots, and what the future may hold for robotics. Teaching style

Hands on. We believe that students learn STEAM better when a qualified instructor is there walking them through the project. We also believe that when students can hold something tangible in their hands, they can more easily grasp the concept of code and hardware working together.

My own education history

Masters Degree in Computer Science Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Bachelors Degree in Biology Minor in Mathematics

Additional biographical information

Matt Livingston founded CodeForce along with his wife Jessie because they couldn't find any STE{A}M academies for their 9 year old daughter that weren't coding only. They wanted to offer an alternative that let kids dive into a world of STE{A}M that is immersive and hands on. They wanted kids to get into the weeds while having more fun than a web browser app could ever provide!
