The activity allows students to visually create a number line that puts the most common fractions from 0 to 1 in order. Then students can take the values on their fraction number line and convert them to create decimal and percent number lines as well. A slide with a printable blank template is included along with a slide with completed number lines.

In this review activity, students will bounce all over your classroom to different posted problems reviewing various ways to factor polynomials, such as taking out the greatest common factor, grouping, difference of squares, and unFOIL (trinomial into two binomials). Working in groups, students solve a problem and then choose the correct answer, which send them to a new problem. If students complete the problems correctly, they will be taken on a unique pathway through each of the 16 problems.

This powerpoint uses pictures of apples and bananas to represent a real-world system of equations. Using click-by-click animation, students can see how one apple can be replaced with three bananas because they are of equal value. This series of slides then lays the ground work for students to move from pictorial equations to symbolic equations using number and variables.
