I have taught several years in Title I, but most of my experience has been in second and third grade. I do a little bit of everything, but my primary focus now is a third grade self-contained classroom.
Fact baseball is a fun way to practice mental computation for addition or multiplication, and the basic rules are easy to learn. My students beg to play this game all the time! The game can be played using 6 or 10-sided dice and bingo chips or other counters. Playing an entire season of games would be perfect for keeping records for statistics and probability. This activity is best used with small groups (like Title I math) with 4 to 6 kids playing at a time.
