This worksheet provides students with information about the number of cell phones owned and life expectancy from a variety of countries. Students then create a scatterplot and a line of best fit. They then use their model to predict other outcomes and are introduced to the topic of correlation vs. causation.

Teaching style

I want my students to think critically and creatively when it comes to mathematics. I like to incorporate activities that ask students to make conjectures and defend their reasoning. I try to incorporate the same mindset when teaching by direct instruction. In general, I am laid back, approachable, and "quirky".
