About the store
I’m a registered psychologist with professional experience in assessing and supporting children and young people with neurodevelopmental differences, including ADHD, autism, and learning difficulties. My work focuses on understanding how children think, learn, and regulate their emotions, and translating that knowledge into practical, evidence-based strategies that work in real classrooms and homes. These resources are also developed in collaboration with my wife, who is a classroom teacher. Together, we combine psychological expertise with day-to-day classroom experience to ensure every resource is not only evidence-based, but also practical, engaging, and easy to implement in real learning environments. This combined perspective allows us to create high-quality resources that genuinely support both educators and students.

9. Cause and Effect Thinking

Understanding cause and effect is essential for scientific reasoning and problem-solving. This worksheet helps students explore how actions lead to outcomes by matching causes with their effects. Through clear, structured scenarios, students develop the ability to analyse why something happened and what led to a particular result. This builds logical reasoning, prediction skills, and deeper understanding of how systems work. It also supports reflective thinking, helping students learn from outco

8. Comparing and Choosing (Best Fit Thinking)

Effective decision-making in STEM often involves comparing options and selecting the most suitable solution. This worksheet focuses on “best fit” thinking, where students evaluate different materials or choices based on their properties and purpose. Through structured scenarios, learners practise comparing options and selecting the most appropriate solution for each situation. This supports critical thinking, reasoning, and real-world application of STEM concepts. It is particularly valuable for
Preview of 7. Finding Patterns

7. Finding Patterns

Recognising patterns is a fundamental skill in both mathematics and STEM thinking. This worksheet helps students develop pattern recognition by identifying sequences and predicting what comes next. Through a range of engaging examples, students practise noticing repetition, changes, and underlying rules. This builds logical reasoning, attention to detail, and analytical thinking. Pattern recognition also supports early algebraic thinking and problem-solving across multiple subject areas. This re

6. Making Predictions

Prediction is a core STEM skill that helps students think ahead, plan effectively, and understand cause and effect. This worksheet guides students through structured prediction tasks where they must use prior knowledge and reasoning to determine what is most likely to happen in a given situation. By engaging with realistic scenarios, students strengthen their ability to anticipate outcomes and make informed decisions. This resource supports critical thinking, logical reasoning, and planning skil

5. Testing and Improving

In STEM, testing ideas and improving them is how real progress happens. This worksheet introduces students to the concept of iteration—trying something, evaluating the result, and making improvements. Through practical scenarios, students decide how to adjust or refine an idea to achieve a better outcome. This activity builds persistence, logical thinking, and an understanding that mistakes are part of learning. It is especially effective for supporting students who struggle with perfectionism o

4. Think of More Than One Idea

Flexible thinking is a key component of STEM and innovation. This worksheet helps students move beyond single-solution thinking by encouraging them to consider multiple possible solutions to a problem. Through structured decision-making tasks, learners identify which options could work and explore the value of having more than one idea. This supports creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving confidence. It is particularly useful for students who become stuck or frustrated when their first id

3. Spot the Problem

Understanding a problem clearly is the first and most important step in solving it. This worksheet teaches students how to identify the real problem within a situation rather than reacting to surface-level details. Through carefully designed multiple-choice scenarios, students practise analysing situations and selecting the most accurate explanation of what is actually going wrong. This builds critical thinking, reasoning, and analytical skills that are essential across STEM disciplines. The act
