I have my ESOL certification and have learned a lot of effective strategies to help multilingual learners.

Teaching style

I use a differentiated instruction approach. Each child is assessed and provided with the resources that are engaging and at their own level. My partner teachers and I have co-taught together to provide lessons in multiple languages to ensure that the students are learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have written the 4th grade social studies curriculum for my district. I am developing a scope and sequence for MLL teachers in my district to use. I have helped develop the districts content overlay and how they want to ensure teachers are prepared to teach. I have lead and helped to create the after school program for tier 3 and multilingual students in my district from the ground up. I have been nominated for TOY.
