This assignment is great to teach students the differences between East and West Egg. Ideally this would be great to do after chapter one but it could be done later in the book (say chapters 1-3). Students will complete TWO shape (concrete) poems comparing the values, beliefs, lifestyles of the East Eggers and West Eggers. Students will then complete an analysis of their poems using evidence from their poems and the book. Rubric included!

This is a reading quiz over chapters 1-3 of The Great Gatsby. This quiz contains various questions forms (matching, true/false, multiple choice, and a short answer). The quiz is intended to be a closed book quiz but can be left up to the teacher. This quiz is also ideal for on-level but can work for honors or AP as a quick check.
