Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in conceptual understanding, student thinking, and structured problem-solving. I believe students learn math best when they: - make sense of problems before solving them - use visual models and representations - engage in mathematical discussion and reasoning - connect ideas rather than memorize rules

My own education history

I hold a PhD in Curriculum, Instruction, and the Science of Teaching, with a focus on mathematics curriculum. I focused on how students develop mathematical understanding and how instruction can better support that development.
