Teaching style
I am a student-enthusiast!
I love finding ways for people to enter into music and discover musical problem-solving in their own unique way.
I use color-coding as a tool for musicians to PLAY, COLLABORATE and EXPRESS.
Music notation can be taught in many ways and I have seen color-coded iconic notation methods create life-long music learners in my classroom!
Awards & shining teacher moments
I have presented my curriculum resources, classroom procedures and lesson plans at the Modern Band Summit and the Florida Music Educators Association annual conference in addition to making these resources available to you on Teachers Pay Teachers. I am the 2025 FEMEA Northern Regional Modern Band Clinician.
