This project is an investigation into careers involving science. Students will sign up for a career, research the career, then present it in a format of your choice. I have included 2 format choices. One is a research paper format and the other is a poster or technology type format. I have included rubrics to match each format.
This project requires very little prep on the part of the teacher. The teacher should be more of a facilitator during this project.

This set includes 5 different pages. Each page has a chart that compares 2 different US cities over 4 days. Students have to analyze and interpret the chart to answer 10 questions. In the questions, students have to compare high and low temperatures as well as types of precipitation. Students have to use math to calculate temperature differences on multiple days. It's a great resource to reinforce your science and math objectives.
These are directions for students and parents about a poster and report project for Black History Month. This can be done at home or at school depending on the time you have. Students select a famous African American and then do research on this person. This is a booklet that students complete to show what they have learned about earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, and tsunamis. I have also created a blank template in case you want to add another rapid change to your book. I print these for my class by doing 2 sided printing. It makes a 3 page booklet (6 when you fold it) that you can staple in the middle. I have my class glue the booklet in their science ISN. The pages have the cause of the change, what that change can cause, evidence of
This is a test you can give 2nd graders at the end of the school year to assess their mastery of math concepts taught throughout the year. It can also be given as a pre-test at the beginning of 3rd grade to see what students retained over the summer. It is 56 questions that are based on the 2nd grade math TEKS. Objectives are listed by each question and answers are included.
These are boarding passes that our 2nd grade uses for Christmas Around the World. Each teacher takes a country and we teach each class about the traditions of that country and we do an activity with the students. The students rotate among each 2nd grade teacher. The countries we do are Mexico, France, Italy, and Germany. I have another listing f

These are 4 templates for Dear Santa letters. I have 2 primary lined papers and 2 regular lined papers. The regular lined papers have places for a date, body, closing, and signature. The primary paper has a place for a body, closing, and signature.

Students write the weekly phonics focus in the center of the flower (ex. ee or ea.....). Then on the petals they write words that contain the spelling focus for the week. You might have the students cut out the flower and display them in the hallway or put them in an interactive spelling/word journal. It's great spelling reinforcement.
You have to run the pages back to back. Students fold the paper in half where the words beginning, middle, and end are in the front. Then it opens to the illustration and writing sections inside. Students need to cut the front flap along the lines. Then they write and illustrate the sequence of a story.
