This presentation contains 126 slides. It covers the entire novel by Dickens. I use this each year with my AP students to review and discuss what is taking place in the novel.
This is an assignment I use in my public speaking classes. The students create a new class idea, club or school change and then pitch it to the school administrators (sharks). I assign this and then allow for 2-3 days of research and practice before the pitch. You can space out the work days as needed. For example, in my classes, we usually have more than one speech going on at the same time. Students will be prepping for an individual speech while working on the group speech too.
This is an exam that I used for my AP classes. It is a final exam covering all 3 books of ATOTC. The key is NOT included. It has 60 multiple choice questions.
This is an assignment I used in my AP Literature course. Students are given a list of 12 poems. They must select one and answer all analysis questions that follow.
This is a final assessment for students following completion of poetry unit. Students were required to create their own poetry scrapbook following guidelines on handout.
This is a 79 slide powerpoint for reviewing major events and characters from part 1 (Chapters 1-11) of To Kill A Mockingbird. Each slide contains a different question. I would play "Around the World" with the students using this powerpoint.
This is an activity that students complete after reading part 1 of To Kill A Mockingbird (chapters 1-11). Students answer a series of questions and the must predict what will happen in part 2 of the book. I had students go around and share their predictions.
Monthly literary terms assignment used with AP Lit students. I have NOT included the list of terms I use; however, if you email me after purchase, I will email you the list of 90 terms I use in class.
My students do this assignment prior to an informative speech. For the first analysis, I have them do it on paper so I know they are doing it correctly before we go digital. They do a second analysis prior to the persuasive speech. This time they follow the same instructions only use google docs or survey monkey. They are required to give the survey to their classmates and incorporate the data into their speech.
There are 11 questions that students can answer during and after reading the short story, "Checkouts". I do not have a key for these questions - sorry.
This handout goes with the movie, "Becoming Jane." There are a total of 10 discussion-based questions that students can answer after viewing the movie. This is a great substitute lesson plan!
This is a powerpoint that introduces persuasive writing using the hamburger approach. It is an easy format for students to understand and walks them through the process step by step. I also have a notes worksheet that can be handed out to students so they can take notes as you go over powerpoint. I'd be happy to email it to you after purchsing this product.
