The 16 Habits of Mind, by Art Costa, Bena Kallick, and Allison Zmuda, offer a framework and set of habits for students to engage in classroom thinking and coursework. I constantly used the Habits of Mind as reference for students in my math classroom! The common language allowed us to discuss and problem solve together.
