Awards & shining teacher moments

I received the Teacher of the Year award in 2011 and 2014 at two different schools. I was also named SECME Coordinator of the Year in 2015.

My own education history

My educational journey began in middle school, where I taught life sciences for eight years. I then transitioned to high school, where I spent another eight years as a biology teacher. During my time at the high school level, I earned my reading endorsement and provided literacy support within the content area. I have also held various roles, including ESOL coordinator, behavior specialist, and school administrator. In all of these positions, I have a proven track record of providing extensive support to students and teachers to improve learning outcomes.
