Follow your favorite sports team around the country. How many miles do they travel in a given period? What is the average length of a road trip to away games? How did many teams get their names? Students will find out with this fun center activity.

Students drag and drop an icon of a boy or a girl to tally their favorite sport. They can then create a double bar graph with the information. A page is also given so the class can create one together.

About the store
Experience
20+ years of teaching, mostly 4th and 5th grade. But I have also taught 3rd and 1st grades and in the BSEP program for the US Army.
Teaching style
Very eclectic. I will use every trick I can think of, including singing, dancing, and cooking to help my students learn.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I was Teacher of the Year at Aberdeen (NC) Elementary School, a PAEMST nominee, and was nominatd for a Golden Apple Award and a Carolina Hurricane Outstanding Teacher nominee.
My own education history
I received a BSEd degree from Mansfield University of PA. I also hold a certificate for teaching the academically gifted.
Additional biographical information
My hobbies include reading, reading on the beach, taking care of our three dogs and 2 cats, and participating with an 18th Century Living History group.
