Experience

Texas high school econ & psychology teacher with 13+ years in the classroom. M.Ed, Social Studies Composite, ELL certified. I build interactive digital tools that make abstract concepts click. Real teacher. Real lessons. Tested on real students.

Teaching style

I'm a "show me, don't tell me" kind of teacher. If I can't explain it simply with a real-world example, I don't understand it well enough to teach it. My classroom runs on three principles: keep it visual, keep it relevant, and keep it moving. High schoolers don't want to sit through 45 minutes of lecture, and honestly, neither do I. I break concepts into chunks, use a lot of "what would YOU do?" scenarios, and build in moments where students actually do something with what they're learning. I teach a lot of on-level and remedial students, so I've learned to strip away the jargon and get to the core of what matters. If a kid who hates school can walk out of my room understanding opportunity cost, I've done my job.

Awards & shining teacher moments

'll be honest, I don't chase awards. The moments that matter to me are quieter: The student who said economics was "actually kind of interesting" (high praise from a 16-year-old) Watching a struggling student finally "get it" when an interactive clicks for them in a way a textbook never could Building lessons that other teachers in my department actually want to use The real reward is when a resource I made saves another teacher time and helps their students learn. That's why I started this store. "You be dropping the gems, Mr. Jones!"
