About the store
¡Hola! My name is Kallie De La Cruz and I have taught Spanish for over 10 years, at the middle, high, and university level. I create engaging resources for students that focus on meaningful interaction with the language through a cultural lens. I have traveled to 10 Spanish-speaking countries and embed personal stories, photos, videos, and authentic listening samples from friends I have met along the way (and we all know how hard it is to find good listening activities!) I hold a Master's Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from NC State University and am a North Carolina Teaching Fellow. I put a lot of time and care into my lessons and can't wait to share them with you! While you're here, I have a gift for you! If you'd like 70 Free Conversation Cards to get your students speaking in every unit of Spanish 1, grab them here: https://classesbykallie.myflodesk.com/convocards

Teaching style

I believe that the way we teach foreign language should mirror how language is learned in real life as much as possible and aim to foster exposure to the language by using authentic resources and develop activities that allow students to practice the language in a contextualized manner, as they would outside of the classroom environment, and in a way that is fun and engaging for the student.
