Experience

I have been teaching history for over 20 years at the Advanced Placement level, regular track and lower track. I have been able to be a presenter multiple times at NJECC (New Jersey Educational Computing Cooperative) and provide numerous professional development and instructional coaching opportunities for my fellow colleagues. A busy mom of 3, I look forward to keep moving forward with education!

Teaching style

I have always been called enthusiastic and my love of teaching and history shows in my classroom. Technology is always embraced utilizing everything from original podcasts to wikis to imovie and powerpoint. Classroom management is key but the students feel safe to share their opinions and ideas. My hope is that all my students leave my class with a feeling that they can make a difference and their opinions matter.

My own education history

Bachelor's Degree was acquired at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York with a major in History and double minor in secondary education and psychology. I received my Masters in Education from Marymount College. Additional certifications in Gifted and Talented and Supervision from Montclair University.
