About the store
After 30 years in the classroom, one word I heard on my very first day remains at the heart of everything I do: differentiation. Working directly with students has taught me what truly helps them learn, especially those who cannot immediately access the curriculum for a range of reasons. My resources are created to ensure that ESL, SEND, and lower-attaining learners are fully included—not rushed through with superficial support before observations or inspections. I specialise in English at both Middle & High school and IBDP English B, and I am committed to producing materials that make every student feel they matter.

Teaching style

I will should old fashioned but I come to school to teach and the students come to learn. Every student has the potential to accomplish their aspirations and we have teachers have a vital role in motivating, encouraging and developing every one we teach.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was amongst the first cohort of teachers in the UK to be awarded Chartered London Teacher Status in 2008. I obtained this because of my work with ELL/ESL students who arrived in the UK with little or no English and with effective guidence and teaching managed to do well in their GCSEs (These are national exams all students in the UK sit when they are 16 years old)

My own education history

University of Kent at Canterbury, UK The Open University.

Additional biographical information

I was a ESOL/ELL published author from 1999 to 2017 until the small publishing house went into receivership. I was the Consultant reviewer from 2001 to 2005 for the same publishing house editing ESOL material that was submitted.
