Experience
I've taught multi-handicapped students, resource math, students with Autism, CP, Down Syndrome, Intellectually Disabled, Behavioral issues, Health Impaired, and students with other cognitive issues for over 20 years.
Teaching style
My teaching style is "be comfortable". Get to know the students first, and then help them where they are with moving them one step at a time farther down the line into adulthood. I'm pretty laid back, but I have my OCD times also. Don't touch my pencils or highlighter...seriously.
My own education history
I have a BA, with endorsements in Elementary Ed, Sociology, K-12 Special Ed, MA in Creative Arts, and I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher 2012.
Additional biographical information
I have kids, grandkids, foster kids, and students. I guess it never ends. Teaching is where its at!!
