About the store

Experience

I am an educator and mother with a background in psychology. I hope to educate, impact, and help humanity grow in peace and unity for all.

Teaching style

The best compliment I received from one of my former students was, "You are strict and you are nice." That speaks to my teaching style of setting boundaries, yet being personable while focusing on virtues at the same time. My materials focus on character education and social skills, and are appropriate for teachers, school counselors, SPED, SLPs, parents, and other specialists.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Shining moments can be heartfelt and unforgettable. When I taught a student who experienced the loss of his mother while he was in second grade, I could relate to this student because I lost my father when I was a child in first grade. I told this student that I lost my father when I was young, just like he had lost his mother. We connected in a true and meaningful way. I was able to break through to this child in a unique manner that others could not. This student had many challenges, but our connection made things significantly easier for both of us. It was not necessary for me to teach differently to this child, but it was necessary for me to support and be there for this child. Once my student understood I was on his side, he was open to learning. That experience taught me that making real, not forced, and personal connections should never be underestimated, as they can lead to successes and shining moments. That type of reward is much greater than a paper award.

My own education history

M.A. in Education, B.A. in Psychology, and CA Teaching Credential.
