I have taught in two very different schools. One School was in South Auckland and the other on the North Shore.
I loved both schools and it is hard to say which one I love more!
This activity can be used as an independent learning game or for a group to practice their quick recall of numbers and number patterns.
When I printed this activity I chose to print multiple pages per page (if that makes sense) to make them into little cards.
This activity helps students to learn their first 10 contractions.
Match the worms to the apples.
Have uploaded a word document, so you can add more contractions etc if you want.

This product has a numeral version, a number word version and a tens frame version.
These can be used to help children develop their number knowledge skills. I use them in this order (depending on their needs): 1) first we use the numeral version 2) after being able to read the numbers we move onto the word version - so that children can learn how to read the number words in a fun atmosphere and 3) using the tens frame version to help children have a quick recall of

Mainly for New Zealand students.
Includes some resources I found online and some that I made myself.
Has instructions/teacher help and a letter home for parents.

Two comprehension wheels that I use before or after seeing a group.
Children read their book and spin the wheel to get a question.
I let the kids do this either independently or with their group.
This is an activity where children match the question to the answer.
It can be done both independently or with a partner.
I like to use this for my lower maths learners after they have completed their work and before they see me.
Cut out and laminate these cards for your writing centre. Perfect for early finishers.
Children can choose the area they want to work on - eg narratives, recounts (imaginative), procedures etc.
These task cards are perfect for early finishers. They focus on a variety of Maths areas - eg place value, mult/div, add/sub, geometry and measurement etc.
You can use the character web for both writing and reading activities. It can be used to help students to develop a character they are writing about, or to help children make inferences about a character they are reading about.
Not very fancy, but it does the job.
Used this format for my Year 4s with our science unit earlier this term.
Helpful for going through each area of the procedure.
