This product was designed to complement the Wit & Wisdom, Module 2- Extreme Settings unit. It is made up of two different products. The first is perfect for students who are learning how to use informational text and studying extreme weather conditions. Students can conduct traditional book and/or internet research, then complete a report on their chosen extreme weather. Once students complete their research, they will write a narrative survival story that can incorporate the extreme weather

This resource compliments Module 3 Wit and Wisdom for 3rd Grade-A New Home. It can be used in a word wall, or printed out for each student to use during center time. The vocabulary is sorted by lesson, and also by the book that is included in the module. The cards are separated by color and include a definition for each word. The words can be printed on regular paper and laminated, or printed on Card Stock paper. ***This resource is not affiliated with Great Minds or Wit and Wisdom***

The "SWBST" strategy can be used to organize a fictional story. This organizer can be used as a guide to encourage the students to learn the elements of a summary. You can enlarge and laminate this organizer to be used as a whole class demonstration. The organizer can be also made smaller to fit perfectly in their notebooks.
