This is a quarter-long writing unit integrating writing and science standards. Students will research and write the following pieces: a 3 paragraph essay on the Mars One mission, a 5 paragraph biographical essay on a famous astronaut/astronomer, and a final 5 paragraph persuasive essay on moving to a new planet due to Earth's collapsing ecosystems.
