This lesson is designed for a 45 minute period. It uses the Zones of Regulation and the book Chrysanthemum by Henkes. This lesson will ask students to create a poster about appropriate behaviour in the classroom.

Engage students in a meaningful exploration of African heritage with this creative project. Students will design a “Wall of Respect” poster highlighting the achievements, culture, and contributions of African heritage communities. This lesson marries Music and STEM creating STEAM for kindergarten! I used the song "5 Little Pumpkins" for a music component by having the kids learn the words and actions that go along with it.
