Experience

For more than 20 years, I’ve sparked curiosity and raised achievement across Kindergarten through 8th grade, teaching a range of subjects, including science, technology, and engineering, while supporting both special education and gifted learners. As a collaborative problem-solver and culture builder, I’ve served as an instructional technology specialist, PLC coach, and testing coordinator, designing data-driven systems, coaching teams, and integrating tools that make learning more accessible and engaging. Whether in the classroom or in leadership, I strive to empower students and fellow educators with practical strategies, purposeful technology, and a genuine love of learning that lasts far beyond the lesson.

Teaching style

I specialize in a constructivist approach, where students actively build knowledge. My teaching focuses on inquiry-based learning, prompting students to ask questions, investigate real-world problems, and build understanding through exploration, reflection, and discussion. I design immersive, project-based experiences with authentic tasks, fostering creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; empowering students to take ownership of their learning and connect class content to the real world. Transformative technology is integral to my instruction, as I utilize digital tools to enhance engagement, foster critical thinking, and support differentiated learning. By integrating simulations, interactive media, and digital portfolios, I strive to create a dynamic and inclusive environment where technology enhances inquiry and supports each learner's discovery.
