About the store

Experience

I’ve been teaching high school science for 6 years, with experience in Environmental Science, Biology, Physical Science, and Forensics. During those years I have taught every type of learner imaginable--AP, ELL, ESS, New-to-country, Gifted, etc. I’m passionate about helping students connect science to the real world through hands-on activities, inquiry-based learning, and engaging discussions. Whether I’m in the lab, the classroom, or on the sidelines coaching, I’m always working to make learning meaningful and memorable.

Teaching style

My classroom is a place where curiosity leads the way. I focus on active learning, critical thinking, and building strong relationships with students. I believe in simplifying complex ideas without watering them down — making science approachable for every learner. Whether it’s through creative labs, interactive simulations, or real-world case studies, I aim to spark curiosity and help students think like scientists.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest teaching moments aren’t awards but the student who finally “gets it,” the reluctant learner who starts to love science, or the class that begs to keep debating after the bell rings. I’ve been recognized by school and district leaders for innovation in the classroom and for my commitment to student growth, but still nothing beats a student telling me they left my class feeling more confident, inspired, and loved.

My own education history

I hold a B.S. in Middle Grades Education, a M.Ed. in Instruction, and an Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership. I currently hold certification in Georgia for high school science, middle school science, ESS, Gifted Education, and Educational Leadership.

Additional biographical information

When I’m not teaching, you’ll probably find me coaching, spending time with my family, roasting coffee, or working on creative projects that support teachers. I started this store to share the resources that have worked in my classroom and (hopefully) save you some time and stress along the way. Thanks for stopping by — let’s make science awesome together!
