Using this activity students will research into soldiers who fought (and died) in the Civil War. It is tailored to a Massachusetts soldier, but can easily be modified to fit your state or region based upon the search criteria. After finding out about the soldier, students will then make observations based upon info-graphics from the Civil War and see if they can connect it to the soldier they learned about. This can be done digitally or printed as a worksheet.
