Welcome! I'm a passionate educator, Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) with over 20 years of classroom experience. I hold a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Structured Literacy. I’ve trained using Neuhaus Education Center methods and theories. I specialize in structured, multi-sensory practices that support both reading and math development for all learners.

School's First Day of School Read Aloud
This routine is designed for a very short daily read-aloud. Neuhaus defines the time allotment for this portion of the lesson as approximately three minutes. When selecting read-alouds, I consider a range of factors. Teaching style
I believe in empowering students to believe in themselves and their abilities—especially when learning feels hard. My teaching is rooted in structured, evidence-based practices with a heavy dose of encouragement. I strive to create a safe space where mistakes are part of the learning journey and students feel confident enough to try again. Every child deserves to know they CAN do hard things—and my job is to guide them there with clarity, compassion, and consistency.

My own education history
I earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and later completed my Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Structured Literacy. I’m a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT). I am also certified multi-sensory math practitioner. My professional path is rooted in a belief that every learner deserves instruction that is clear, attainable, and effective.
