About the store
I taught middle school students for 13 years as a science teacher. Two years ago, I approached my administration with an idea for a "Coding and Robotics STEM Lab" that we could offer as an after-school activity. During the meeting, I mentioned to my Principal that I really thought that the idea "could and should" be a class offered during the school day. Her response? "I think we can make that happen." With tremendous support from my District and from our community foundation, this idea has become a reality! In the following two years, I have learned a tremendous amount about teaching computer programming to middle-school aged students. I created most of my curriculum on my own and I'm looking forward to making my resources available to you!

Teaching style

I am a strong believer in the idea that students should be doing most of the work in the classroom. I try to keep my full-class instructional time down to less than 10 minutes per class period. Then, the students are off on their own, problem solving and solving challenges. I spend the rest of the bell giving students individual, one-to-one assistance on their individual problems and concerns.
