Included is a novel study with comprehension questions for each chapter of the book. I used this for a 3rd grade small group. I go over questions with students throughout the novel study, so an answer key is not included.

For this lesson students discuss how an organism's niche will change based on how the organism changes over time. Students compare and contrast the niche of a tadpole and frog, as well as a caterpillar and butterfly. Leads to great conversation about what niche means and how an organism's niche will change throughout its life. Based on 4th grade VA SOLs.

Includes two graphic organizers with the life cycle of a butterfly and frog. Information is filled in, and boxes are given to draw images to match. I had my students make the images out of play-doh and lay them in the boxes to make it a little more fun! Based on 4th grade VA SOLs. (My students looked at images to help them draw and create)
