I used this sort with a small group to remediate misconceptions around units of measure with US Customary and Metric. We first color coded the vocabulary by length, weight/mass, and volume, and then looked for key words to help us identify which unit of measure words we needed to pick from.
Listed is a resource that I made for instruction in a 3rd grade classroom. Students were working on adding and subtracting to find exact answers and estimates. I started in the tens and moved into hundreds and thousands. I used this in a small group setting.

This slideshow breaks down the box method into steps. Each slide has students completing one step, and each slide builds on the next. This resource features 6 2 by 2 multiplication questions. I used this resource during remediation to help students who were struggling to identify which two numbers they were multiplying for each box. This activity is aligned to 4th and 5th grade Virginia SOLs.

This sort includes events/vocabulary that were either harmful or helpful towards African Americans rights post Civil War. This aligns with Virginia's 4th grade VA Studies standards. This practice sheet allows students to compare side by side how to fix run-on sentences with a conjunction or introductory clause. It also provides a word bank for students. This sheet has three side by side examples. I did this with students whole group, and cut the examples apart to show over the projector. Students wrote their answers on a white board. This is a quick and easy comparison practice to do with students to show them sentence variety.
This writing goal setting resource is designed to help students write individual writing goals, create a plan to achieve their goal, and track their progress. Students can track their progress using their writing assignments, and can check if they met their goal that day, or if they went back and edited/revised their writing to meet their goal. This resource is great for individual goal setting, and student led conferences with a teacher or parent.
Students will add and subtract fractions that require them to find the common denominator. These resulting fractions do not need to be simplified, so that the focus can be on finding common denominators.
Students will estimate fraction sums and differences and place the cards under closer to 0, closer to 1/2, or closer to 1. A number line is provided, but other manipulatives would be helpful as well.
Every morning (or whenever you want), give students a number that they will write, place in a place value chart, write the expanded form and word form, round to the thousands, ten thousands, and hundred thousands place, and compare to another number of their choice. Aligns with VA 4th grade SOLs.
This sort has students cutting out eggs with even and odd numbers and gluing them to the corresponding birds nest. Easy activity for students to complete at an independent station.
Students will identify factors, common factors, and the greatest common factor for each set of numbers. I recommend having students build arrays using tiles to help them.
