This PowerPoint has a slide for weekdays during August 19-30th. Each slide has a different activity for journaling, turn and talk, or reflections for important topics we learn in FACS. This is the perfect bonding and relationship building activity as well as self reflection and acts of kindness. I project the slide as students are coming in and they have 5 minutes from the time the bell rings to complete or share with the class. These "national day" help spread self awareness and self reflection along with relationship building in the classroom. Some days students will turn and talk about interesting topics, and somedays a short journal entry in written.
