Teaching syllable rules along with phonics rules will give learners a deeper understanding of how the English language is organized. I use these strategies with my 1st grade students (and others I tutor - ranging from preschool - 5th grade); my learners show AMAZING gains with reading and spelling in a very short time. Experience

Teaching style

My passion is guiding learners in their literacy journey. I have spent years diving into the Science of Reading, Dyslexia instruction, and how to teach reading with strong evidenced-based strategies. I have used this knowledge to create a multi-year, comprehensive reading course that ranges from Pre-K-3rd grade (and beyond for those needing reading intervention). I have taught many subjects and have created a variety of resources, especially for online learning. I am adding new products all the time, so keep checking back.
