Welcome to Collab-Math-Match, a store that specializes in Matching Activities! My name is Doug, and I have been teaching high school mathematics since 2002. I have taught all levels of secondary math, including: *Algebra I & II *Geometry & Precalculus *AP Statistics At every level, I’ve found that the most impactful lessons are those where students collaborate and engage in healthy arguments about the mathematics! I created this store to promote mathematical discourse through matching activities and collaborative tasks specifically designed to help Grade 11 students master high-stakes testing through engagement rather than drill-and-kill.

Welcome to Collab-Math-Match, a store that specializes in Matching Activities! My name is Doug, and I have been teaching high school mathematics since 2002. I have taught all levels of secondary math, including: *Algebra I & II *Geometry & Precalculus *AP Statistics At every level, I’ve found that the most impactful lessons are those where students collaborate and engage in healthy arguments about the mathematics! I created this store to promote mathematical discourse through matching activities and collaborative tasks specifically designed to help Grade 11 students master high-stakes testing through engagement rather than drill-and-kill.

Teaching style

I believe that mathematics is best learned through action and discovery. My teaching style focuses on fostering an active, high-energy classroom where maximum engagement is the standard, not the exception. I prioritize a student-centered environment where learners collaborate and develop deep mathematical reasoning through evidence-based discussions. Rather than relying on traditional direct instruction, I act as a facilitator, guiding students as they work together to experience the true utility of math in the real world. My resources are designed to move away from passive listening and toward hands-on exploration and peer-to-peer problem-solving.
