DescriptionThis Cooperative Learning Activity is a Kagan Structure called Fan N Pick focusing on Integers and their Opposites. Students will work in table groups of 4, working together to coach each other while solving scaffolded problems. Each student has a role, therefore creating high engagement from every student! This activity is great for high engagement, getting students to discuss their problem solving, and allowing the teacher time to work with groups of students who need more help.

Experience
I have been teaching for 6 years; 3 years in 7th grade and 3 years in 8th grade.
Teaching style
I believe there should be student collaboration and math talk in every lesson! Math is interactive and students learn best when discussing the steps with others. I have had great success in my classroom with Kagan cooperative and hands on activities in my classroom! My store will reflect the engaging and student driven lessons that I use in my classroom.
My own education history
I graduated from the University of Kentucky with my bachelors in Middle Level Education and a minor in Psychology.
