Colorful Computations

A math assignment for budding art lovers! This worksheet is designed to practice decimal addition/subtraction, while also appealing to a student's love of art and color. I designed this specifically to motivate my more artistically-inclined student to practice and have fun with math, while encouraging the development of their artistic side.

This mini-packet has two pages of two-digit and two-digit addition, and two pages of two-digit and two-digit subtraction; some practice with carrying the 1 is mixed in, as well. There are 126 total problems and an answer key.

This packet includes three quizzes: a short fill-in-the-blank on distinguishing between the words "write" and "right"; a short fill-in-the-blank on distinguishing between the words "it's" and "its"; and a fill-in-the-blank on spelling common English contractions. This activity has really been a hit with my students! This worksheet focuses on the basics of coming up with a story and its different parts. It goes through an introduction, guidelines, an example, and a story-writing activity.

These worksheets contain multiplication problems spanning the basic multiplication table, but mostly focusing on the practice and repetition of problems that my own student had trouble remembering over others. There are 11 pages of problems, accompanied with 11 pages of answer keys.

This is a specific activity I made for a number of my struggling readers, especially for my students with learning differences. There are 40 multiple choice questions in this product; the words selected are of varied length, topic, and difficulty level, and are based off of areas of weakness for my fourth-grader.
