This file contains a full lesson plan and everything you need to teach Pumpkin Pumpkin by Jeanne Titherington to younger grades or any elementary special education classroom. The file contains a link to a you tube video reading of the story (in case you don't have a copy). There are review slides with visuals and the file ends with a quiz.
This is a great fall lesson about pumpkins that teaches students to sequence and recall key details about the text.
32 pages of math practice. Each number had it's own page up to 20. There are also shape and coin pages. Each page has a spot for stickers, tracing, drawing, etc. This is a very interactive file that is meant to be cut and placed into a spiral notebook. My students love to work on these pages for review or for an introduction to new numbers or concepts!
I created an anger unit to incorporate into my social skills class. This is appropriate for emotional disorders, autism, and special education in general. There is a smartboard file with various books linked to it as well as games. I also attached all of the worksheets needed to complete the unit. Some of the items were made with boardmaker and can be used any way that you like (i.e. laminate and cut out options for breaks, etc). Students can also decorate their own break passes as well as
This is a Smartboard file and PDF of worksheets to teach green words (appropriate/happy words) and red words (inappropriate/sad words). I use this in my K-2 ED classroom. It is appropriate for any special ed student who needs some reminders about language (swear words, calling other kids names, etc). There are a lot of worksheets that require guidance or to be read aloud as well as an interactive smart board lesson.
This is to be used to supplement a classroom discussion of feelings. I typically address one feeling per day when I am teaching empathy. Each worksheet covers a different feeling. We discuss and draw what would make you feel that way and then students can draw their face to look like the feeling. This is a fun activity and great review of emotions.
A Smartboard File with two different visual recipes for a classroom cooking experience. Included are pages with ingredients and a recipe for rice krispies treats and ants on a log. After each recipe, there is a page for students to vote on their favorite, a page to describe what it tasted like, and a page for a classroom writing about the experience. This is appropriate and fun for younger special ed grades. I use it in my K-2 ED classroom!
A packet to go along with a Snow 2 Go experiment. I bought Snow 2 Go to make with my students, but you can also make snow with baking soda and hair conditioner! Very fun and easy for special needs and young kids right before winter break.
Everything you need to make a pumpkin file folder game! Covers numbers 1-10. Count the pumpkins in each box. Match the number to the amount of pumpkins shown. Very cute for fall!
I teach lots of little boys with special needs. They always make a mess in the bathroom! As a female teacher, I had to come up with some visuals to teach this skill. The visuals worked! No more mess! I have one posted above the toilet and I show one on the board to teach the steps. Very useful for younger grades and special ed.
