Addition Facts Mastery - Student Personal Goal Spreadsheet
This excel spreadsheet can be used with your students to set, track, and achieve personalized goals for learning addition basic facts to mastery. Rather than the 'skill and drill' methods of the past, encourage your students to learn a set at a time based on STRATEGY including counting on, make ten, doubles, near doubles, add tens, and break apart facts. Students can check in weekly based on which strategy/fact set chosen, and track progress.

Teaching style
I always look to find a creative, multi-sensory angle in a lesson or concept and usually push my students to find and make their own meaning, which I confirm for them if/when needed. When students are begging "can we please do that again??!!" I know I've done my job! Having majored in art and education when I began my classroom teaching career, I've often tried to infuse the two. With the shift in math education over the past few years, I'm seeing the link more and more clearly every day!
