About the store
My best friend and I together make Common Core Gals!
I have taught fourth grade for 7 years. Last year I had a self contained 3/4 split. That was an interesting and enjoyed challenge. For several years I taught all of the math for the 4th and 5th grade classes at my school. I am always trying new teaching strategies. I have taught all 4th grade subjects.
My best friend is the most creative person I know. She works in graphic design by day and teaches dance to 4-15 year olds at night.
We both live busy lives. I create the content and she puts her creative spin on it.
Together we make a great team with teaching and designing expertise. We are also busy mothers, but can't wait to create more items for our store. Please follow us as we promise you will love our Common Core items coming soon!!

Teaching style
I mostly teach in centers. I have a teacher led center during each center rotation. I love games! I also love the participation I get from students in my small group instruction.
Awards & shining teacher moments
My school has scored in the top ten in our state several times. We have also been recognized as a Blue Ribbon School. I love my school!
My partner in this TPT adventure has had awards in Advertising. She also teaches dance at a national award winning studio.
My own education history
I have a bachelors in Elementary Education with a component in Mathematics. My Masters degree is Reading and Writing Specialist.
