These are cut and paste worksheets that follow the Words Their Way Phonics pacing. It includes all short vowel word families:
Short A: ap, ag, at, an
Short E: et, eg, en, ed
Short I: ip, ig, it, in
Short O: op, og, ot, ock
Short U: ug, ut, ub, un
and a review of all short vowels worksheet.
My students cut out the words and put them in ziploc bags to sort all week for fluency. They glue them down on the last day for formative assessment.
The purpose of this game is to add a little bit of variety and fun to your nursery rhyme lessons. This skill will also help students take their learning to the next level:

Webb’s Depth of Knowledge- Extended Thinking
Directions: First, spin to get music genre. Then, spin to get your nursery rhyme. Now sing your nursery rhyme in the new genre style. You can make original rhymes or shorter clips. Use musical instruments, microphones, props, flashlights, and have FUN!
