Perfect Squares, Perfect Cubes, Square Roots and Cube Roots
Students will practice determining if numbers are perfect cubes or perfect squares. Then using this information the students will discover how to find square roots and cube roots, and complete examples on them. The worksheet includes a "fill in the blank" portion as well as images of cubes and squares to aid in students understand why cubes are to the third power, and squares are to the second power.
